Run by a very good friend of mine Eleanor, who hosts the most glitzy and glamorous singles meetings in The Top Hotels across Essex. She runs fabulous meetings where you can dine and dance with singles about your own age. At her dinners she has tables where there is an equal number of men and women, so for instance if you are a man, you are seated in between two women and you can chat to them as you have your first course, you also have a dance card with six blank spaces, and you then as you chat to the women on each side of you can ask for a dance later, you fill in their names on the dance card. After the first course Eleanor moves all the men up one table, so again you have two female companions so you can ask them for dance number 3 and 4, and again after the main course the men move up one table again, and chat and fill in dance numbers 5 and 6. The food I may add is delicious and you have two glasses of wine each, this all helps to make a lovely dining experience, so that at the end of the meal you have sat and chatted to six women and have your dance card filled up. The MC then asks you to go and get your partner for dance No 1, and you have six separate dances with your partners, and after that you have general dancing where you can ask who you like to dance. These are very glitzy affairs and it is a fabulous way to meet, chat and get on with people.
